The imp is the first pet you will be able to summon as a warlock. Sort of like a pocket mage, the imp tackles the role of magical damage by launching fireballs at your enemies. In addition to that, he’ll also hook you up with some extra health in the form of Blood Pact, and some reflective damage with Fire Shield. My favorite warlock leveling guide talks about using the pet in conjunction with a heavy affliction build. The buffs he provides as well as his rapid mana regeneration make him the ideal mana battery for a build using Dark Pact.
